Sidewalk Bombardment
The sidewalk bombardment is the spray. The spray contains the message. The message is what SevenTen Bishop is about. What SevenTen Bishop is about is what you want to know. A shitload of chalk, caffeine, hangover residue, a location, statements, words, communication.
Scout the site, grab a case of chalk. The sun is burning overhead and a spray must be laid out on the concrete. Chicago, New York, Baltimore, Toronto, Anywhere, Everywhere non-premeditated words burst onto the ground. People walk past or over the work. Some stop and comment negatively. Some just shake their heads and walk on, assuming that the spray has nothing to do with them when it has everything to do with everybody. Others stop and read. They question, think and discuss. These are the people whose lives have been altered just slightly because they saw two people crouched down on a sidewalk, blistering and bleeding intensely scribing the importance of SevenTen Bishop. Ultimately, there is a little bit of chalk dust on the bottom of every passerby's sole.
